Jordan Ayew: Black Stars And Crystal Palace Striker Tests Positive

- Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has announced that he has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19)

- According to the Crystal Palace star, he is feeling well and not showing any symptoms

- But in line with COVID-19 protocols, Jordan has gone into quarantine

Ghana Black Stars and Crystal Palace striker, Jordan Ayew, has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Jordan Ayew broke the news of his COVID-19 status in a statement on his social media pages on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

According to Jordan who was adjudged the best player for the English Premier League side in the 2019/2020 season, he was doing and not showing any symptoms.

But in line with the COVID-19 health guidelines, he was going into quarantine.

In the statement YEN.com.gh sighted on Twitter, Jordan promised to cheer his teammates while looking forward to a quick recovery.

Jordan's statement read:

"Sadly, I have tested positive for Covid-19 & have begun my quarantine in line with the health guidance. Thankfully, I am feeling fine & do not have any symptoms I will be cheering the boys on from home & look forward to being back on the pitch soon. Stay safe ♥️

Jordan's announcement comes after he recently featured in two friendly matches for the Black Stars during the last international break.

He was part of the team when the Black Stars lost 3-0 to Mali in their friendly game which took place at the Emirhan Sport Center in Antalya, Turkey on Friday, October 9, 2020.

Days later, Jordan starred and created goals as the Balck Stars defeated Qatar 5-1 in another friendly in Turkey.

Jordan becomes the latest football star to test positive for the Coronavirus disease.

Just recently, Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for coronavirus and was immediately released by the Portugal national team to go into self-isolation.

The Juventus star was due to feature for Portugal on Wednesday, October 15, in their UEFA Nations League clash against Sweden.
