Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has as part of his tour of the Central Region visited the mother of the late former Vice President’ Amissah Arthur.

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on former president Mahama's official Facebook page, he was spotted in a hearty conversation with Effie Amissah-Arthur at her residence in Cape Coast.

He visited to receive blessings from Madam Amissah-Arthur ahead of the upcoming December 7 polls.

“With Madam Effie Amissah-Arthur in Cape Coast last week, as I have always done, to greet her and also receive her blessings ahead of the December 7 election. Madam Effie is the mother of our late former VP, Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur,” the post said.

The calm and collected late former vice-president of the NDC, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur passed away on June 29, 2018.

According to some reports he passed out at Airforce Gym at Burma Camp in Accra during a workout session.

He was later rushed to the 37 Military Hospital to receives medical attention where he later passed.

The economist, academic and politician was the sixth Vice-President of Ghana.

Ghanaians have shared their thoughts on visit by former president Mahama.

Mohammed Oluu Kalli prayed for longer life and good health for her.

Meanwhile, the flag bearer of the NDC, John Mahama has been touring other regions ahead of ther 2020 general elections.

He has visited the Ashanti, Western, Volta, Savannah, Oti and other regions to carry out his campaign messages.

As part of his campaign messages, John Mahama promised to eradicate the existing double-track system of the free SHS policy.

He said he will do this in a year of Ghanaians vote him and the NDC in the coming December elections.
