Medikal says Akufo-Addo’s silence on #ENDSARS in Nigeria does not mean he is not working

Ghanaian rapper Medikal has defended Akufo-Addo’s silence on the violence that has erupted in Nigeria over the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operations.
Female celebrities, including Nana Aba Anamoah, Lydia Forson, Yvonne Nelson, Sandra Ankobia, and others, have called on Akufo-Addo to speak.
They say as the chairman of ECOWAS, the president should have addressed the issue long ago.

They also expected him to exhibit the same energy he used in condemning the murder of George Floyd, and when the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and his wife contracted coronavirus.
These celebrities have said Akufo-Addo’s silence is sickening, demanding him to, as a matter of urgency, address the matter.
However, Medikal has said that the president’s silence does not mean that he is not working behind closed doors.
To him, Buhari is the one who must be held responsible for what is going on and not Akufo-Addo.
Medikal stated that nobody should blame the president for Buhari’s incompetence.
Some people have disagreed with Medikal for various reasons.
Abena, for instance, said when Donald Trump had coronavirus, Akufo-Addo reacted to it for everyone to see. Therefore, he needs to do that in the case of the Nigerian violence:

Meanwhile, US-based Ghanaian singer, Sonnie Badu, has reacted to the violence ongoing in Nigeria.
He angrily cursed the politicians saying that their children will pay for the blood been spilled today as a result of the SARS violence.
The gospel singer also prayed for peace and calm to be restored to Nigeria.
