Comedian Mark Angel clears the air as he reacts to viral video where he appeared to be mobbed

- Nigerian comedian, Mark Angel, recently went viral on social media after a video made it seem like he was getting mobbed

- The funnyman was accosted by a group of people and one of the men kept shouting that Mark was using them to do comedy and that they would also use him to do comedy

- Reacting to the video, Mark Angel said that the person who made those comments got things wrong and did not know what happened

Nigerian comedian, Mark Angel, recently had people concerned about his safety after a video where he looked helpless as he was surrounded by a mob went viral.

Reacting to the video that made waves on social media, the comedian said he was surprised to see the video and he explained what transpired.

According to him, he alongside some other people went on a peaceful protest and a commercial driver nearly hit one of the protesters with his vehicle. He said that the driver was nearly mobbed and that he stepped up to calm things down and advised them to do things peacefully.

Mark Angel added that he did not even know that another person was recording the scene and shouting ‘you dey use us do comedy, we go use you do comedy today’. This gave many people the impression that he had been trying to make a skit during this trying period.

The comedian said that the person’s chants had nothing to do with what was going on and that he did not know his motive for making such a video. He also advised people to be focused and not fall for distractions.

Mark Angel added a video of himself at the peaceful protest to put an end to the rumours.

He also shared another post where he said the last Nigerian youths want is for the peaceful protest to be hijacked by people with evil intentions.

In other news, Legit.ng reported that Nollywood actress, Nse Ikpe Etim, took to social media to mourn fallen Nigerians on her birthday.

She clocked a year older on October 22, 2020, and was not in a very celebratory mood considering the carnage that had recently happened in the country.

The movie star took to her social media page to dedicate a post to young Nigerians who had lost their lives before their prime in the process of fighting for their rights.
