All branches of Obinim’s churches closed down for flouting COVID-19 protocols

Information trickling in has it that all branches of Obinim’s International Godsway Church International have been closed down.

The closure of the church, according to the information, is because the church has flouted the COVID-19 rules spelled out to worshippers.

The church members, including the leaders, are said to be holding services without observing the COVID-19 protocols, including the wearing of face mask, washing of hands, and social distancing.

He has also been accused of holding service in large numbers.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh. on Ghpage.com, one Obinim’s junior pastors is reported to have said that the protocols were too much for them to observe.

He added that the church is protecting the members spiritually, and so, they would not be affected by the COVID-19.

The junior pastor reportedly said that if the church was to adhere to the protocols, it will mean holding up to a hundred services in a day.

Meanwhile, Obinim trended massively in the news when he was accused by NPP MP, Kennedy Agyapong, of being a fake man of God.

He released photos of some 13 women he claimed were Obinim's girlfriends. One of the women is actress Benedicta Gafah.

Kennedy Agyapong also accused Obinim of using the blood of infants for rituals to get rich.

Following these and other accusations, Obinim was arrested and detained for a couple of days.

He later confessed to sleeping with many women behind his wife Florence after being married for 16 years.
