- Medikal has angrily blast some celebrities for what he described as disrespecting President Akufo-Addo
- He mentioned Yvonne Nelson’s name, saying she and the other female celebrities are “banku celebrities”
- Medikal advised Ghanaians not to pay attention to those people in order not to be misled by them
Ghanaian rapper Medikal has angrily descended on some celebrities in Ghana describing them as disrespectful.
He boldly mentioned the name of Yvonne Nelson, saying that she and the other celebrities behave as if they are wiser than anyone on earth.
Medikal called Yvonne and her cohorts “banku celebrities”. While we cannot decipher his definition for banku celebrities, banku is a local dish in Ghana that is cheap and easily acquired.
Thus, he called on Ghanaians on social media not to follow what these celebrities say or post on social media.
Many people have applauded him for his bold but long statement.
Williams, for instance, said he admired Medikal for this:
williams_ojoo24: “Herh I feel medikal for this.”
Adepa also said she does not like Medikal, however, she likes his statement:
equah_adepa1: “I dont like medical but as for this one de3.”
Diana also held a similar view:
diana.dansoa.12: "I no like him but he is making alot of sense."
Adjoa wrote: “well-said Medikal:
afriyie.nanaadjoa: “Well said MDK.”
Bella also called the female celebrities to come and learn from Medikal's sense:
mhzz_bella: "Our female celebs should come see sense overload here."
Herry wrote that though Medikal's video is long, he spoke the truth:
myssherry: "Very long but well said medical wei nkoaa dierr mo ne kasapa."
Meanwhile, Medikal's statement is coming on the back of the insults Nigerians have meed out to President Akufo-Addo when he reacted to the violence ongoing there.
Before then, celebrities, including Nana Aba Anamoah, Yvonne Nelson, Lydia Forson, and others, mounted pressure on the president to speak.
They accused the president of being bias because of his silence. Unfortunately, he was criticised and insulted by some Nigerians on social media who asked him to "face his Ghana and leave Nigeria alone".
Nana Aba responded to their insult on the president, but she was insulted too.
Ghanaians have thus blamed her and her cohorts for putting the president in all of these.
