Woman gives birth to 2nd set of identical twins; occurs in one out of 111,111 pregnancies

Erin and Jake, a couple in Louisiana who welcomed identical twins six years ago, have welcomed another set.

Erin, who gave birth to the twin girls Lola and Allie on September 22, said she would always consider herself blessed with all the beautiful babies she has.

According to the mother-of-four, she was shocked and speechless when she learned that she was pregnant with twins again, People reports.

YEN.com.gh gathers that the doctor who delivered Erin of the new set of twins, Dr Cliff Moore, said about one in 111,111 pregnancies results in a second set of identical twins.

Dr Mooore said his hospital delivers approximately 8,000 babies each year, adding that they only see a woman delivering another set of identical twins about once every 15 years.

Erin and her family all contracted the novel coronavirus in August but luckily for the family, their cases were not very severe.

The woman said:

"I'll always considered myself blessed with all these beautiful babies, but I also think God has a real funny sense of humor.
"A lot of people say you're only given what you can handle, and I hope He has my back for the next few years!"

In other news, a 54-year old Nigerian woman, Funmi Ajagbe, has given birth to a set of triplets with her first pregnancy, a thing that does not usually happen.

The new mother’s friend, Odunayo Olupona, took to Facebook to disclose that Funmi welcomed her babies despite the long wait.
