Abronye DC says Akufo-Addo has no girlfriends like other politicians (video)

Abronye DC, the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, has said that unlike some leaders in the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Akufo-Addo has no girlfriends.

He said emphatically that the president does not waste Ghana’s money to buy houses and other luxuries for women like those in the NDC do.

Abronye DC was speaking in an interview with Peace FM in a video sighted by YEN.com.gh.

According to him, the NDC was against some of the policies Akufo-Addo and the NPP advocated in the run-up to the 2016 elections, saying that they were not possible.

He mentioned, for instance, that the NDC was against the president’s free SHS policy. However, now that the president has made it a reality, the NDC is preaching “making it better” if they should be voted for.

Abronye also said he is privy to information that when the NDC was in power, many girlfriends benefited than Ghanaians.

Meanwhile, Abronye had been in the news for saying that former president John Dramani Mahama and the NDC are to blame for the increasing number in COVID-19 cases then.

He claimed that Mahama was using prayers to increase the cases in order for the new voters' registration to be canceled.

That was when there was a heated argument over the decision for the EC to go ahead with the registration or not.

In a related political development, violence has erupted in the Odododiodoo Constituency in Jamestown, Accra, where supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have clashed.

The incident, according to an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, happened on the morning of Sunday, October 25, 2020, at a junction called One Way on the Atta Mills High Street.

A lot of people are reportedly wounded as a result, and the police are yet to make known the exact number of people who sustained the various degrees of injuries.

Both political parties have filed complaints with the police, according to the report.

The Odododiodoo Constituency has been flagged by many political observers as a hot spot for violence during every election year.
