The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, revealed that the next NDC government will recruit more youth into the Police Service.

According to Ofosu-Ampofo, John Dramani Mahama, would be recruiting about 8,000 Ghanaian youth into the police service, with 40% of that population being women.

In a report filed by Peacefmonline, Ofosu-Ampofo said that the flagbearer of the NDC is committed to increasing the police to civilian ratio in the country.

He made this known at a community engagement in Denu within the Ketu South constituency in the Volta Region.

Explaining further, Ofosu Ampofo stated that for every year, 2,000 policemen and women will be recruited into the service bring the umber to 8,000 by the end of the four years.

He, however, underscored the need for police personnel to do their work without fear or any form of intimidation from the government.

In other news, the National Communications officer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has revealed that John Setor Dumelo has a ministerial position in the next Mahama administration.

Gyamfi said the parliamentary candidate from the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency is not just a mere candidate but has a great potential ahead of him.

He made this know while speaking at the campaign launch of John Dumelo on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

According to him, since John Dumelo's main aim is to help provide jobs for people in the constituency, it is just in line with the one million jobs promised by John Mahama when he wins the election.
