Armed men shoot CEO of Sky Oil Filling Station dead at Asuadei in A/R

- Owner of the Sky Oil Filling Station, Alhaji Abubakar Sadick, has been shot dead

- The 63-year-old man was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital

Recently, the crime rate in the Ashanti region seems to be going up as there have been several reports of incidents in the region.

News reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that the owner of the Sky Oil Filling Station, Alhaji Abubakar Sadick, has been shot dead.

According to a report filed by Citinewsroom, he was shot by some unknown armed men who attacked the station at Asuadei in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region.

In a bid to save his life, he was immediately rushed to the Mankranso Government hospital in the Ashanti Region.

Unfortunately, the 63-year-old man was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

The report indicated that the crime was carried out by four armed men at about 5:30 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

Police have begun investigations into the incident that has thrown the entire community into a state of shock and mourning.

Investigations are however, underway to arrest the culprits according to Superintendent Richard Boahen is Mankranso District Police Commander.

“The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead upon arrival. So far we don’t have enough evidence, but we are still on it. We are taking our time to do a good investigation which will lead us to arrest the real culprits.”

YEN.com.gh earlier reported a similar incident which also happened in the Ashanti region.

A Chinese National was shot at by unknown gunmen at Atinga junction in Kumasi.

The sad incident occurred on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for medical attention where is currently fighting for his life.

An eyewitness stated that the Chinese National visited a shop to purchase a credit voucher with some colleagues when he was attacked by the gunmen on motorbikes.
