Controversial Ghanaian pastor, Angel Daniel Obinim, has dispelled reports that his church was closed down over COVID-19 protocols.

Speaking in a new video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Obinim says not one of the branches of his International God’s Way Church had been closed down.

He was speaking with his congregants during a church service, imploring them not to pay attention to such reports.

According to him, there are attempts by some people to destroy his church and also to kill him.

They want to destroy my church, they want to kill me, don’t pay attention “on” them. My church has not been closed down,” Obinim said.

He added that those behind the reports were also doing so to grab his attention because he had been quiet for some time now.

However, Obinim believes spreading such a completely false rumour is not the one to go about it stressing that: “If you need my attention, is that the way to get it?”

He stated emphatically that those who want to destroy his church and kill him will not succeed because his God keeps making him grow and prosper.

Meanwhile, Obinim's church was reportedly closed down for failure to observe the COVID-19 protocols laid down for religious organisations.

The members were said to clearly flout the rule to observe social distancing, wash their hands, wearing of face mask during service, and others.

One of his junior pastors reportedly said that the protocols were too many for them to observe and that if they were to do so, they would have to hold about 100 services in a day.
