Shatta Wale confesses to being given a role at EXIM Bank but denies receiving 2 million cedis

Ghanaian Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, has rubbished claims by some people that he received a sum of 2 million cedis to become a brand ambassador for Ghana’s Export and Import (EXIM) Bank.

He, however, confessed to receiving a role from the bank to project Ghana, but that did not come with any money.

Shatta Wale made this revelation during a recent interview he had on Hitz FM monitored by YEN.com.gh.

According to him, he aims at helping project the country’s core values at any time when he is capable, and that was his motivation for receiving the EXIM Bank’s role without asking for any money.

He was earlier accused together with actor Agya Koo by Ras Mubarak, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu Constituency in the Northern Region, of taking that sum in the name of ambassadorial roles.

The issue of became topical in the news that Shatta Wale’s manager, Bulldog, denied it saying that Shatta Wale is worth more than the amount mentioned.

In the same vein, the head of Corporate Affairs of the bank also denied the claims by the NDC MP.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale had said he wants to engage his colleagues Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy in a debate on entertainment.

He cracked a joke in the video he was speaking with while giving Stonebwoy a new name, causing many fans to laugh.
