It was previously reported that a woman in the United States identified as Ruth Graham-Ray celebrated her 108th birthday by voting in the presidential election.

The centenarian's godson, Michael Blaylock, said the event marked the 22nd time Ray had voted in a United States presidential election.

The woman hopes to inspire everyone to get out and vote as if their life depends on it.

According to Blaylock, the woman said if exercising her franchise is still important to her at the age of 108, nobody has any excuse not to vote.
