In Ghana, telling someone to go hug a transformer is telling the person to go and kill himself. If the person should do that literally, it means they would be electrocuted to death.

His post has garnered massive responses from fans as some have agreed with him while others dispute it.

Big pan, for instance, said no one would hug a transformer as he has said, but, rather, he and others would simply not vote for Akufo-Addo:

bigpan2010: "My brother nobody will hung transformer but Ghanaians will never live in another four years full of insecurity if you close from work around 9pm then you are afraid to go home and secondly how safe it is for you to go to location around 10pm in an isolated area.#kicknanaout..."

Ernest supported David Osei saying that many people had already predicted a win for Akufo-Addo:

ernestkoduah.ek: “Don't mind them bro, even GUM candidate has predicted a win for Nana Addo.”

More people supported the actor’s views:

nana_ama_gandhi: "4more to do more, u can go n drink e sea of u don’t understand."

rachealnimo20: "More free school fees ,more free uniforms and more free books and dining."

prince_mawulorm: “How can I join the movement? I think is by reposting right WeMove.”

Meanwhile, two key people making the trend this week for publicly endorsing the NPP are Sarkodie, and Samini, who have even gone ahead to release songs praising Akufo-Addo.

Samini, in particular, has faced many backlashes from the public after his endorsement. Some people have called him a hypocrite and a man of double standards because of video of him criticising celebrities who endorsed political parties in 2016.

Many people have threatened to unfollow Samini because he did not say true to his words as contained in the video published by YEN.com.gh.

Others, though, have sided with Samini and declared their willingness to support him regardless.
