Ghanaian singer Belinda Akua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has revealed that she was once rejected by Sarkodie when she wanted him to feature on her song.

Mzbel said she sent the whole song to Sarkodie, and after he listened to it, he called back to tell her that he would not want to feature on it because it was not good for his brand.

She was speaking in a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the issue of Sarkodie allegedly tricking Kuami Eugene into featuring on a song purposed to promote the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mzbel indicated that she was not happy with Sarkodie’s rejection even though the song centers on adult issues because it was similar to Jenifer Lomoted, the song Sarkodie sang with Kurl Songx.

Touching on Kuami Eugene’s saga, Mzbel said she does not understand why he is crying foul after he went ahead to even shoot a video for the song.

Kuami Eugene had claimed that Sarkodie did not send him the whole song but just the first part for him to add his chorus.

He claimed that it was after the video was shot and the whole song released that he got to know that Sarkodie was actually singing the song to promote President Akufo-Addo and the NPP.

Kuami Eugene has cried that this is going to affect his career and brand, and has totally distanced himself from the video.

However, Mzbel says he would defend Sarkodie in this matter because for Kuami Eugene to go ahead and shoot the video, it means he was aware of what he was doing.
