1. Samini: Samini has released his song titled Kpoyaka. He sang of how Akufo-Addo has been a trusted leader since he was born and throughout his youthful years. He mentioned some of Akufo-Addo’s achievements as the free SHS policy, the One District One Dam initiative, and others which to him makes the president fit for another term of four years.

2. Sarkodie: Though he has not stated explicitly, Sarkodie’s new song titled Happy Day, which features Kuami Eugene, has been tagged as a political song meant to endorse Akufo-Addo and the NPP. He praised the NPP for bringing about free SHS, while thanking the president for enrolling out the free water and electricity initiatives as part of his COVID-19 relief for Ghanaians. Sarkodie ended his song by chanting: “Nana Toaso” which means Nana deserves a second term.

3. Obour: The former MUSIGA boss, known to be a card bearing member of the NPP, has also released his campaign song to support the party. As a former MP aspirant, Obour has sang loudly the praise of President Akufo-Addo in his song titled: One Good Term Deserves Another. He also highlighted some of Akufo-Addo’s major achievements for which reason Ghanaians should retain him for another 4-year term.

4. Agya Koo: The Kumawood actor has also released his song titled Afa, to laud and sound the achievements of the NPP and President Akufo-Addo. Agya Koo also released a video to promote the song.

Meanwhile, Samini, in particular, has faced many backlashes from the public after his endorsement. Some people have called him a hypocrite and a man of double standards because of a video of him criticising celebrities who endorsed political parties in 2016.

Many people have threatened to unfollow Samini because he did not say true to his words as contained in the video published by YEN.com.gh.

Others, though, have sided with Samini and declared their willingness to support him regardless.

Actor Prince David Osei has also insulted his critics telling them to go and kill themselves if they do not understand why he has endorsed Akufo-Addo and the NPP.
