With just 25 days to the 2020 general elections to select parliamentary representatives for the various constituencies, electorates have probably formed their thoughts on who exactly they are voting for.
The incumbent Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle Constituency, Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings, seems to be the preferred choice in the constituency.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh, most of the residents in this jurisdiction shared the reasons why they feel the incumbent MP deserves a second chance.
One of the vocal interviewees mentioned the fact that the MP has put in a lot of efforts with regards to her work in the constituency than anyone they have ever voted for.
She said Dr. Zanetor has really helped constituents with regards to education, healthcare, employment and sanitation which have been the major challenges in the constituency.
For her, such a person needs to be voted for in order to retain her to continue the good work she is doing instead of voting for someone who has not proven himself yet.
Another constituent also mentioned how Dr Zanetor has helped with the education of the youth, and also equipping small businesses with the necessary logistics.
A woman who gave her name as Aboagyewaa, who was rather fierce in her delivery, said Dr. Zanetor has really worked and is really surprised at those who claim she is not working.
The owner of Friday spot located inside Osu, Austin Miller, claimed that Dr. Zanetor in his view has not been proactive at all given that, a clinic he personally set up was closed down due to no assistance from the MP.
Dr Zanetor Rawlings will be going against Prince Appiah Debrah to retain her seat in the constituency.
Although an unpopular contender, some residents believe that some initiatives like the creation of free water stations within the constituency and a few others would earn Prince the seat.
In other news, popular Kumawood actor, Michael Afranie, has started a massive campaign for the NDC in the Ashanti Region where he lives.
The actor wore an NDC T-shirt with party paraphernalia decorating his neck in a pose with his colleague Agya Koo, who also wore an NPP T-shirt.
They signaled with their fingers the numbers of their presidential aspirants on the ballot paper – thus, Afranie signaled 2 for Mahama, while Agya Koo signaled 1 for Akufo-Addo.
