Asamoah Gyan to miss opening match of Legon Cities due to injury

The highest goal scorer of all time for the Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, is set to miss his first match at his new club, Legon Cities FC, in the Ghana Premier League.

In a report by Citisportsonline.com, it is indicated that Legon Cities is scheduled to meet Berekum Chelsea but Asamoah will be missing in action because he has sustained an injury.

Goran Barjaktarevic, the coach of Gyan's new football club revealed that the 34-year-old was unable to train with the team on Monday, November 9, due to the development.

“Asamoah Gyan is one experienced player and he’s still got some problems with injury. We are working to get him fit because it is very important when he comes back, he comes back in good shape”.

Gyan, 34, joined the Royals in the biggest deal of the local transfer window after signing a one-year deal for the season that is just about to kick off.
