17-year-old talented Ghanaian footballer, Prince Adu Kwabena who plays for Ghana Premeir League's Bechem United has been invited by Black Stars' head coach CK Akonnor into the national men's football team.

In a radio interview cited by Pulse.com.gh the teenager indicated he was shocked by the call up as he least expected to play for the national team at this time.

"I stood there for about two minutes when the head coach of the National U20 (Black Satellites) Abdul Karim Zito informed me about the Black Stars call up", he said.

It is reported that the Black Stars has been hit by a series of injuries which has ruled out some of the players who were originally handed call-ups for the upcoming clash of the Black Stars.

Ghana will take on Sudan on Thursday 12th November at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the first leg of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, before they jet off to Khartoum for the reverse fixture on 17th November 2020.

In other news, the highest goal scorer of all time for the Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, is set to miss his first match at his new club, Legon Cities FC, in the Ghana Premier League.

In a report by Citisportsonline.com, it is indicated that Legon Cities is scheduled to meet Berekum Chelsea but Asamoah will be missing in action because he has sustained an injury.

Goran Barjaktarevic, the coach of Gyan's new football club revealed that the 34-year-old was unable to train with the team on Monday, November 9, due to the development.
