High school student goes viral with his breathtaking artwork on poverty

Celeste Arendse is a visual arts teacher at Schoonspruit Secondary School in the Western Cape and took to Facebook to share the amazing artwork of one of her pupils. Cohnwille Swarts is a matric learner at the school and has talent and vision beyond his years.

Arendse shared images of his breathtaking artwork with the theme being "Poverty", and boy did Cohnwille deliver. According to Arendse, 18-year-old Cohnwille lost his mother during the lockdown period in the country.

Arendse ended her Facebook post by saying that learners like Cohnwille are the reason she does what she does. She also said she is very proud of him.
