The sudden news of the passing of Ghana's former president, Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings has been a bitter pill to swallow for all including celebs.
Apart from the fact that prominent statesmen have sadly reacted to the news, some celebs are equally in a state of disbelief over the developing story.
Many of these popular people have taken to social media to react to the sad news and shared photos of the former leader of Ghana.
Some of the celebs posted photos of the time they met with Jerry John Rawlings while others shared stock photos of the National Democratic Congress founder with touching tributes.
Social media has actually been flooded with the news of the death of Rawlings and his pictures have taken over all timelines and trends in the country.
A 7-day national mourning period has even been declared by President Akufo-Addo for the country to pay some respect to the former president.
All campaigns have also been suspended to at least until the 7-day mourning period has been observed.

Jerry John Rawlings was born on 22 June 1947. He was a former Ghanaian military leader who ruled Ghana from 1981 to 1992 as Head of State.
He was then democratically elected President of Ghana in 1992 and served till 2000.
After two terms in office, Rawlings endorsed his vice-president, the late John Evans Atta Mills as the presidential candidate in 2000.
However, his party, the NDC, handed over power to former president John Agyekum Kufour of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as it lost the 2000 elections
