Some Ghanaian netizens have defended President Akufo-Addo after he was dragged by a Kenyan teacher who re-wrote the official announcement of Rawlings's death.

The Kenyan teacher, known by the Twitter name, Mwalimu Joshua Njenga (@JKNjenga) revealed that he had marked the official communication of President Akufo-Addo and scored it 5 out of 10.

Mwalimu Joshua Njenga made a number of changes to the speech and argued that such national tragedies should not be announced anyhow.

Another Ghanaian stated: "Kenyans trying to correct Ghanaians ...not surprised cos it’s 2020"

Yet another commenter said: "You just paraphrased please. You didn't do anything. What you did was pulling down phrases and representing it with pronouns just to make it look short. If you want to teach us syntax then teach us well"
