Ghanaians are still dealing with the shocking news of the passing away of former President Jerry John Rawlings.

As widely reported, former President Rawlings passed on at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was receiving treatment after falling ill a few days ago.

Reports have indicated that he passed away from complications of COVID-19 on Thursday morning, November 12, 2020.

Following the news, many people including President Nana Akufo-Addo have been paying tributes to the 73-year-old.

Amid the many tributes, YEN.com.gh has sighted one from a lady named Nathalie Yamb, that is raising eyebrows on social media.

Tweeting hours after the news of Rawlings' passing broke, Yamb has suggested that she probably had a special relationship with the former president.

In her post, Yamb shared a collage of over 10 photos in which she showed loved-up moments with Rawlings.

Captioning the photo collage, she disclosed how she and Rawlings have shared happiness and affection in over 11 years.

She described the late former president as her "hero [and] soulmate" while indicating that she could not imagine life without him.

Yamb ended her tribute by calling for prayers fro Rawlings' wife an children as well as other loved ones.

"11 years of complicity, laughter, respect, admiration, affection, happiness. Thank you for everything. My hero. My soulmate. I can't imagine life without him.

May your prayers support Nana, Amina, Zanetor, Kimathi, Yaa, and all those who loved him and whom he loved...," the message which was written in French and translated by YEN.com.gh reads.

From Twitter, Yamb also took Instagram to share a tribute in which she simply expressed her love for Rawlings:

"I will love you forever."

Meanwhile, former President John Mahama has led an NDC delegation to visit the family of former President J.J. Rawlings.

Just like Akufo-Addo, Mahama and the delegation visited to console the family over the death of Rawlings.

While Mahama had been expected to sign the book of condolence, National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has revealed that Mahama was refused access to the book of condolence.
