There was a big 'clash' between Kumawood actors Kwaku Manu and Lil Win on Nana Ama McBrown's United Showbiz on Saturday, November 14, 2020.
The two clashed over comments Lil Win reportedly made on social media concerning his upcoming TV series dubbed Cocoa Season.
Lil Win and Kwaku Manu were guests on McBrown's award-winning show alongside other Kumawood stars like Akrobeto, Bill Asamoah, Mercy Asiedu, Vivian Jill Lawrence, and Ellen White Kyei.
During their discussions, Lil Win was asked about his Cocoa Season series and why recently said that some Kumawood stars have refused to appear in the series.
After Lil Win made a submission on the post and mentioned some of the people who have not responded to his request to appear in the series, Bill Asamoah pointed out Lil Win had not done the right thing.
According to Bill Asamoah, the proper way was for Lil Win to approach he and those people who are yet to feature in the TV series with scripts for them to see whether they will accept or reject.
Kwaku Manu whose name was mentioned by Lil Win as one of the people who have not honoured request also wondered why his colleague will go to social media with such utterances.
Citing examples, Manu stated that he has requested to feature Mery Asiedu and Akorbeto on his Aggressive Interview for about a year now. None of them has been able to come but he does not have any issues.
Moreover, Manu pointed out that Lil Win has also refused to appear in two TV series he [Manu] had shot and also not honoured his request to interview him but he has not come out to bash him.
Lil Win in his defence stated that he did see the script part as a big deal while adding that he was going to pay all the actors he was calling.
This triggered Kwaku Manu who questioned Lil Win as to how much money he thought he had that he would go about blabbing about paying people.
Manu further admonished Lil Win to take his time and stop rushing in life because he was just a small boy and must not think that he was richer than anybody.
The 'small boy' part got Lil Win displeased and he replied leading to hot exchanges between the two while their colleagues looked on.
After trying unsuccessfully to clam the two down, McBrown went on a commercial break for a long time.
When the show returned, things had calmed down with Mercy Asiedu suggesting that they planned for Kwaku Manu and Lil Win to put up that display.
Not long after, Lil Win had to leave the live show as he was travelling to Larteh Akuapem later in the night.
It is worthy to note that Kwaku Manu and Lil Win were once very close friends but their relationship got strained along the line.
