- The WASSCE results slip of a student of Tarkwa Senior High School has popped up online
- Looking through the results, it would be seen that the student's best grade was C6
- Apart from that, he scored F9 in six subjects and E8 in the last course
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) released the provisional results for the 2020 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) on Friday, November 13, 2020.
Following the release, social media has been buzzing with some top-notch result slips of popular schools and students who gained national attention.
The photos of such results mainly of students who aced the examination by scoring 8As landed online and generated conversations due to the excellent grades.
YEN.com.gh has however come across a result slip that can be considered as directly opposite to the ones that are being shared due to the remarkable scores.
One such result was one reported to be coming from Tarkwa Senior High School in the Western region of Ghana.
The result which belonged to a Business student whose name has been withheld from the public is nothing good to write home about - no pun intended.
While others aced their papers and were going viral for the good work done, this particular student scored C6, E8 and 6 F9s.
The student scored C6 in Business Management, E8 in Social Studies and scored F9 in English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, Financial Accounting, Economics and Principles of Cost Accounting.
Many have wondered how and why the student would perform so abysmally but some people have come to his defence with the age-old adage that "all fingers are not the same".
Meanwhile, the result slip of Opoku Ware Senior High School and 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz finalist, Nobel Epton Asamoah who went viral on Twitter has popped up as well.
Nobel Asamoah scored high marks in the subjects he sat for and it came as no surprise to many as he had been tipped to do exploits by netizens who had seen his performance in the NSMQ.
He scored As in Social Studies, English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, Elective Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Nobel was one of Gakpetor and Presec's arch-rivals in the finals of the 2020 NSMQ but victory eloped his team which pushed Presec to win their sixth NSMQ title.
