Some concerned residents of Ashaley Botwe, a suburb of Accra, have complained about the siting of an unsafe structure in their locality which may be a disaster in disguise.

Many exclusive photos sighted by YEN.com.gh showed the structure - a storey building sited very close to homes and local businesses in the locality.

What is worrying about the situation is that, the uncompleted storey building appears to be the tallest building in the catchment area.

A Twitter user by name Tutankhamun indicated that the building is already at the sixth-floor stage and looks like more floors would be added.

Tutankhamun went on to enquire if the authorities in the area were turning a blind eye to it since many considered the structure a 'disaster waiting to happen'.

Fresh reports coming in, however, have it that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have ordered for the construction company and the contractor of the building to stop work with immediate effect.

Photos of the building have since gone viral on social media with many people commenting about it and expressing their concerns.
