A Nigerian woman who has been married for 16 years without the fruit of the womb has finally been blessed with twins.

YEN.com.gh notes that the disclosure was made on Instagram by @ms_asoebi who shared adorable photos of the mother and her double gift.

The woman's story is one out of many inspiring stories of couples who had tried to conceive for years and finally blessed with twins, triplets and quadruplets.

In other news, Erin and Jake, a couple in Louisiana who welcomed identical twins six years ago, have welcomed another set.

Erin, who gave birth to the twin girls Lola and Allie on September 22, said she would always consider herself blessed with all the beautiful babies she has.

According to the mother-of-four, she was shocked and speechless when she learned that she was pregnant with twins again.

YEN.com.gh gathers that the doctor who delivered Erin of the new set of twins, Dr Cliff Moore, said about one in 111,111 pregnancies results in a second set of identical twins.
