Akufo-Addo shares photo of Samini on Instagram ahead of NPP’s virtual rally

Akufo-Addo has shared a photo of Dancehall star, Samini, on his Instagram page for the first time after the latter endorsed him.

He announced that the musician will be performing at the virtual rally organised by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the December 7, 2020, elections.

His post has garnered reactions from some Ghanaians who appear divided over Nana’s fate in the coming election.

Rico, for instance, said even if the president brings American rappers to perform, he will still lose the election:

Representgee also wrote that Akufo-Addo will still lose whether Samini performs or not:

representgee: “Still you lose.”

Others, however, commented that they could not wait for Samini to perform at the virtual rally.

Gifty, for instance, said she and others are waiting:

gifty.odengmail: “We are waiting.”

Door could also not wait:

spy_nxt_door: “Can't wait.”

Meanwhile, some celebrities have already shown their party colours by publicly endorsing the candidates of their choice.

Dancehall star, Samini, for instance, has publicly thrown his weight behind President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He has also released a campaign song titled Kpoyaka to highlight the NPP’s achievement and praise Akufo-Addo for them.

Samini also called on Ghanaians to vote and retain the president and his party in power for the next four years and Shatta Wale called him a hypocrite for this.

Other celebrities who have also endorsed Akufo-Addo are Sarkodie, Obour, Agya Koo, and many others.

So far, it appears just three celebrities have declared their support for former president John Mahama.

They include Kumawood actors Michael Afranie, Mr. Beautiful, and Mzbel, have so far declared support for the NDC.
