On December 7, 2020, Ghanaians would be going to the polls to elect the leader of the country for the next four years, as well as their constituency representatives.
John Dramani Mahama who is contesting on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, is contesting again, after not being able to get the required percentage.
The incumbent president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on the other hand is seeking reelection in order to retain the seat he has been occupying for the past four years.

As the Ghanaian atmosphere is politically charged YEN.com.gh, set out on the streets to seek opinions from Ghanaians.
Most people were of the view that President Akufo-Addo is the best man to lead the country.
In the opinions sought on the street, most people mentioned the free senior high school programme as one of the best initiatives by the government.
According to them, this particular initiative has been of great help to many families as well as beneficiaries.
Another quality that Ghanaians mentioned was the fact that Akufo-Addo was quite a thoughtful leader, and that could be seen through his well thought out policies.
Unfortunately, Mahama was not given reviews on the streets, as most people believed he had already had his chance to lead.
According to them, if John Mahama was also a good leader, he would have been maintained by the people of Ghana.
In other news, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the party’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, has said he started the free Senior High School policy first.
According to the former president, his administration started the policy in 2015.
“We started the programme and the NPP came and continued it. Unfortunately, the implementation has been very poor, and so it ended us in double track,” he stressed.
