A local dad has left South Africans highly impressed with his innovativeness. Heading to Facebook, the Mzansi dad explained how he had equipped each of his two children with their very own bank cards.

Gentle Maxopani posted pictures of his children who looked well-fed from the Spur meals they had just paid for themselves using their black Capitec bank cards. The dad also included the slips for each meal.

"We went to Spur and each is responsible for their own bill. I teach them about money and how to spend in a responsible manner," wrote the young father.

In similar news, a lot of support has poured in for two children who have been selling iced drinks on a busy street in order to save enough money to be able to buy Christmas clothes for themselves.

The boys first came to the attention of locals after the pictures were shared on Facebook by Kaelo Precious Lebona, who captioned the post:

"We're selling ice guavas so that we can also look like other kids on Christmas Day. "I met these two this afternoon , they always walk from Hanipark ext. 15 to Town (Welkom) to sell ice guavas whenever they are not writing any tests , they're both in Grade 6 and they stay with their grans."

Soon the post raked in thousands of reactions from moved South Africans.
