John Mahama celebrates 62nd birthday at Tamale Hospital

- John Dramani Mahama spent his birthday at the Tamale Teaching Hospital

- The NDC presidential candidate, visited and shared items to the Children's' Block

- Mahama is the only president under the NDC to have lost power in the first term

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, is spending his 62nd birthday with patients and medical professionals at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

It was all joy when patients and medical officers welcomed the president at the hospital - singing a birthday song for the former president as he strode into the premises of the hospital to mark his birthday.

“ We just have a small presentation to make to the children on admission at the Children’s block. It’s a heated campaign but my wife and I decided to come over. We are proud at the improvement we have made in this hospital. Today, it looks like a 1st Class hospital. I can pledge my commitment of putting more investment in this hospital,” John Mahama stated.

Scores of people singing happy birthday as NDC Presidential Candidate John Mahama walked into the premises of the Tamale Teaching Hospital to spend some time at the medical facility in commemoration of his birthday.

With a known legacy of expanding infrastructure and health needs of rural folks, the former president is confident of winning their votes to expand healthcare delivery across the country.

Meanwhile, CEO of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr. Abbas Adam says the former President's visit will speed up the recovery process of the children hospitalized at the facility.

“We feel very honored to visit this hospital despite your tight schedule. You came to see these children. This is surprising. The children will be very delighted. Most of them who are on the verge of recovery will have it very fast,” he remarked.
