Three minutes later, the Gunners leveled the score as Gabriel headed home a cross from Willian to make it 1-1.

Wolves got back in front in the 42nd minute as Daniel Podence produced a brilliant piece of skill to skip past Gabriel before putting the past Bernd Leno to make it 2-1.

Arsenal resumed the second half the brighter side as Rui Patricio was quickly called into action by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The north London were lucky not to have conceded a penalty as Gabriel caught Adama Traore late but the Spaniard was wrongly booked for diving by referee Michael Oliver.

Reiss Nelson came close in the 74th minute but the young England midfielder could not keep his shot down from an Aubameyang's cross.

Aubameyang also had a chance from a Hector Bellerin's cross but the Gabonese striker's effort went just wide.

Wolves went home with the point as Arsenal lose their third straight home game in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that Nicolas Pepe has apologized for his unruly behaviour during Arsenal's draw with Leeds United at Elland Road in the past weekend.

The Ivorian striker headbutted Leeds wing-back Ezgjan Alioski and he was sent off in the process after the referee confirmed the incident on the VAR.

The Gunners had to play the rest of the remaining 40 minutes with a one-man short and were lucky to come out of the fixture without conceding.
