Joanna Koryo Kwao has shattered academic and stereotype ceilings in the field of education following her remarkable feat of becoming a 2020 valedictorian.

The young lady who is a recent graduate from the University of Ghana, Legon, emerged as one of the valedictorians of the school's 2020 graduating batch.

Joanna Koryo Kwao who studied Pharmacy in Ghana's premier university managed to defy all the odds and came out with a Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 3.73; the highest in her year group.

What is fascinating about Joanna Koryo Kwao's achievement is the fact that she was a Science student of Tema Secondary School four years ago and she scored 8As in her WASSCE exams.

She then went on to get admission into the University of Ghana and there too, she managed to prove her brilliance by passing out with flying colours and ahead of all her other brilliant course mates.

According to Joanna Koryo Kwao, her key motivation has always been her family who always wants to see her going over and above what she thinks to be her limit.

Joanna Koryo Kwao has vowed not to end there and has already expressed her desire to soar higher on the academic skies by writing her licensing exams.

She has always dreamed of making a huge impact on society and this has always given her some form of drive to keep up the excellent work.

In a similar success story, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Madam Sandra Lettu, has shattered academic records and torn down stereotype walls after graduating from the University of Ghana as one of the school's valedictorians.

The young lady who has wowed many people including her own lecturers and colleagues studied BSc Administration and aced all her papers.

As a result, she scored a final grade point average of 3.96 which happens to be the best so far in her department and for that matter, she was adjudged the 2020 valedictorian.
