Lovers of sports betting agency - Betway - are gravitating towards the mobile application to bet on President Akufo Addo and John Dramani Mahama.

The betting outcomes of both presidential candidates show John Mahama been less attractive for a bid as against President Akufo Addo whose bet chances are higher with low odds of losing at 1.25 as against John Mahama whose bet chances are somewhat lower with higher odds of 3.9.

Election bets are rare in Ghana as against Europe and the West. The outcome of this betting sees bet enthusiasts confident in risking their placements for the incumbent NPP ahead of voting day on Monday.

The University of Ghana department of political science, in a recent poll, declared President Akufo Addo as the probable winner of the 2020 elections. John Mahama of the NDC rubbished the poll stating he is still confident of emerging victorious.

Ahead of the polls on Monday, December 7, The Election security task force, estimated at 6000 personnel, has been deployed across the country ahead of the polls on Monday.

Ghana has been praised across the world for peaceful elections since the 4th Republic. The country has often been set aside as a reference point of successful elections and peaceful transition of power. To this end, international and local election observers are looking out for “the peaceful Ghana we all know”.
