President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said he has restored Ghana’s dignity on the world stage.

Speaking in the capacity as the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Akufo-Addo said he has restored what took the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) eight years to destroy.

In a live telecast monitored by YEN.com.gh from the party's headquarters, Akufo-Addo underscored the need for Ghanaians to retain him at the presidency to protect what he has restored or else making it a fruitless effort.

He further disclosed that, he has built the foundation for growth and progress of the nation.

“In four short years, we have cleaned up the mess it took NDC eight years to create. We have also exited the IMF bailout programme and established a strong foundation,” he said.

He explained that never again should Ghanaians allow the country into the hands of those that led it into an era of financial and banking crisis.

“Never again shall we allow the management of our economy to get into the hands that will lead us into another financial and banking crisis. Cleaning up after the NDC is far too much work and cost.” he added.

He added that cleaning up after the NDC is far too much work and cost and that such energy should be channeled into to harness the dynamism and enthusiasm of the youth to build Ghana.

“We should use such energies to harness the dynamism and enthusiasm of our young people to build Ghana,” the President added.

The president also said his government has proven to be better managers of the energy crisis that statrted under the erstwhile Mahama administration.

He added that small scale business owners like hairdressers, tailors, vulcanisers and what have you, have access to frequent and affordable power supply.

In other news, President Akufo-Addo on his final campaign trail at Mantse Agbona in the Odododiodio Constituency in Accra referred to the NPP’s contesting member of parliament for the constituency - Nii Lante Bannerman - as Nii Lante Vanderpuye.

It all happened when Nana Addo was introducing all parliamentary contestants to hundreds of party supporters on the campaign grounds.

“Even as you vote for me on December 7, I implore you to vote for our contestant for the Odododiodio Constituency, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye!...Nii Lante Vanderpuye … Eei ….Nii Lante Bannerman, vote for Nii Lante Bannerman. What do we need Nii Lante Vanderpuye for? Vote Nii Lante Vanderpuye,” the president stated in Twi.
