Ghana's incumbent president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has issued a notification that he will be addressing the nation on the night before election day.
In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on the verified Twitter handle of the leader of the New Patriotic Party, it is indicated that the address will take place at exactly eight pm local time.
The oration is titled, "Address to the nation ahead of elections on Monday" with the hashtag, #PresidentAkufoAddoSpeaks.

Before election day, the law does not allow for any forms of public campaigns by politicians or the political parties they belong to, for that matter.
Although the content of the address president Akufo-Addo will be giving is not disclosed, it is hoped and believed that it shall hover around the topics of peace, encouragement to vote and maintenance of order all around the country.
Ghana is going to the polls on December 7, 2020, after peacefully switching power between the major political parties, NDC and NPP, since 1992.
Meanwhile, a gentleman has climbed to the top of a mast with the vow of awaiting the declaration of Akufo-Addo as the winner of the December 7 elections before he comes down.
In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Starrfmonline, it is said that the man was determined to remain up there until the Electoral Commission declares the results.
The incident is happening at Ayoma in the Asenua community of the Kwabere East municipality.
