Independent presidential aspirant, Marricke Kofi Gane, has urged Ghanaians to step out massively and cast their votes on December 7, 2020.
In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on the personal Facebook handle of the leader of the Gane4Ghana movement, Marricke said Ghanaians must do this even though they may not like any of the political figures on the ballot paper.
Gane explained that surely, one of the presidential candidates will win and rule Ghana for four years, so Ghanaians must take charge and choose which one will.
See the post below:
"ONE of them will have power to influence almost every aspect of your life for the next 4 years. You have this one chance to decide who it is. #PleaseGoAndVote", he said.
Marricke Kofi Gane was one of the 17 presidential aspirants for the 2020 general elections until the electoral commission, led by Jean Mensa, disqualified him and four others.
According to the EC, Marricke's team had forged some signatures to complete the application but this was not conclusive and the Gane4Ghana team maintains to have been dealt with unfairly on the issue.
Meanwhile, Yaa Asabea Hammond, a popular Ghanaian advocate and writer has urged all Ghanaians to make sure they bring in a female vice-president by the time the 2020 December election is done.
In an opinion piece from Asabea published by 3news.com, the lady indicated that currently, Ghana has lost all the females who used to be at commanding political positions in the country.
