Ghanaian voters head to the polls today [Monday], December 7, 2020, to cast their ballots to elect a president and 275 legislators to represent them in parliament.

Over 17 million voters are expected to take part in the December 7 election, having endured a challenging year due to the raging coronavirus pandemic.

The leading front runners in the 2020 polls are incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo, representing the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), and the presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama.

Meanwhile, independent presidential aspirant, Marricke Kofi Gane, has urged Ghanaians to step out massively and cast their votes on December 7, 2020.

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on the personal Facebook handle of the leader of the Gane4Ghana movement, Marricke said Ghanaians must do this even though they may not like any of the political figures on the ballot paper.
