The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra region has expressed dismay over the ability of a security officer to engage in multiple voting at the Klottey Korle constituency.
According to the party’s regional chairman, Ade Coker, the said personnel, voted in the special voting exercise held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
At least 109,557 persons took part in that exercise held at 311 centres across the country.
Speaking to Accra-based Class FM on Monday, December 7, 2020, Coker said: “So, we came here for us to fill an objection form.”
However, the Electoral Commission had no objection form, the NDC’s Greater Accra chairman bemoaned. “…this is ridiculous; the law says they should have objection forms, they have no objection forms here,” he said.
The party has, therefore, asked its secretary to the constituency to file an official complaint to the EC to take action. “We are coming to make sure that this guy is arrested, prosecuted and the ballot here becomes null and void because it has been compromised”, Coker said.

In an earlier, YEN.com.gh report, one person had been arrested in the Western region in relation to the ongoing general elections across the country.
The arrest, which happened at Whindo in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipality followed attempts by some residents to stop electoral officers from accessing polling centres in the community, state-owned Daily Graphic reported.
