Some officials of the Electoral Commission in the Ashanti region are reportedly asking electorates to vote for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) alleged on Monday, December 7, 2020, that personnel of the commission in the Adansi Asokwa and other constituencies were trapping voters to vote for the NPP.

Citing the Ashanti regional secretary of the NDC, Kwame Zu, Starrfm.com.gh reported that some voters in Ejisu were also handed already thumb printed ballot papers “to drop in the ballot boxes.”
