Election 2020: Dumelo closes gap Lydia Alhassan's early lead in Ayawaso West Wuogon

John Dumelo has bounced back in the Ayawaso West Wougon parliamentary election after suffering early setbacks.

As previously reported by YEN.com.gh, Dumelo's opponent Lydia Alhassan took an early lead as first results came in after closes of polls on Monday, December 7, 2020.

While Maa Lydia, the NPP's candidate, got 498 votes at the Corner Corner polling station, Dumelo got a dismal 22 votes.

But later results coming in seem to be favouring Dumelo. He won Okponglo Restaurant Polling Station A.

While he polled 308 votes, Lydia Alhassan got 245.
