John Dumelo, the NDC parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency has released a statement indicating he is highly optimistic about winning the MP seat.
In a Twitter post on his verified handle sighted by YEN.com.gh, Dumelo turned a blind eye to all reports suggesting that he had lost the election.
"We are still waiting for the Electoral commission to declare the final results. By the projection, I am in pole position to win when all the results are verified by the EC," he said.

Meanwhile, a video of actor turned politician, John Dumelo, has surfaced after reports of his opponent taking an early lead in the parliamentary election.
Many people have since flooded Twitter with subtle trolls against the parliamentary candidate who stood on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress.
Provisional results coming in from the Corner Corner polling station in the electoral area has seen Maa Lydia known in real life as Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
In other news, a video of top executives and party faithfuls of the opposition National Democratic Congress has surfaced on social media and causing a great stir.
In the footage sighted by YEN.com.gh on the verified Facebook handle of TV3 Ghana, the NDC strong room was filled with great jubilation.
A set of television sets were lined up showing the various results coming in from the different constituencies and the opposition party was clearly convinced that things were swinging in their favour.
