Incumbent Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Madam Lydia Alhassan, has been spotted in a video jubilating following her win in the parliamentary polls.

The MP-elect, in a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Facebook page of TV3 Ghana, was seen dancing while flanked by some party faithful.

It is reported that she was dancing at the collation center on the University of Ghana campus after provisional results were called in her favour.

The MP, together with some people, was seen singing gospel songs while waving NDC headscarves.

Madam Lydia Seyram Alhassan was given a hot chase to the seat by her closest opponent and National Democratic Congress's John Settor Dumelo.

At the end of the polls, provisional results saw Madam Lydia Alhassan polled 39, 851 as against John Settor Dumelo's 37,778 votes garnered.

The Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency was one of the closely monitored electoral areas in the country with many people expressing interest in the outcome of the polls.
