Mahama is said to have absented himself from the meeting because he believes the peace council should rather meet with the NPP and not the NDC.

Meanwhile, Mahama had earlier accused the EC of attempting to subvert the will of Ghanaians by trying to declare Akufo-Addo and the NPP as winners of the 2020 Elections.

He warned that the NDC will resist any attempt by the EC to overthrow the will of Ghanaians by calling Akufo-Addo the winner.

He also claimed that the NDC has won a total of 140 seats to have the majority in Parliament.

In addition to that Mahama says figures show that the NDC has won in 10 out of the 16 regions. Therefore, he has won the election.
