Election 2020: Both Akufo-Addo and Mahama have retained their seats - Otchere-Darko

- The Electoral Commissioner Jean Mensa announced the results of the 2020 presidential results

- President Nana Akufo-Addo of the NPP came tops with 51.59% of the total votes cast giving him a second term in office

- His main contender and former president, John Mahama of the NDC, polled 47.36% of votes

- Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has mockingly stated that, both candidates from both parties have retained their seats

A stalwart of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Gabby Otchere-Darko has stated that, the presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has retained his seat.

He added that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama also retained his seat as the former president.

In the post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Otchere-Darko whose message clearly showed that he was mocking the NDC, congratulated both of them.

Meanwhile, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has won a second term as President of the Republic of Ghana after being declared the winner of the 2020 presidential elections.

Akufo-Addo, the incumbent, bested his main contender John Mahama, a former president who was also seeking a second term in office, in the polls held on Monday, December 7, 2020.
