President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has spoken to his supporters as Ghanaians await the declaration of the 2020 election results.
The Electoral Commission (EC) is expected to announce the results of the presidential elections held on Monday, December 7, 2020.
Ahead of the big announcement, President Akufo-Addo has urged NPP supporter and sympathisers to refrain from any aggression.
In a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, Akufo-Addo also advised NPP supporters to portray a good character and wait for the EC's declaration.
He further admonished the supporters to jubilate in moderation and with sensitivity to public order and safety.
"Dear NPP Supporter, when you win an election, you don't need to be aggressive. Be of good character and wait for the Electoral Commission to declare. And when you jubilate, be moderate and sensitive to public order and safety," he said.
From the tone of President Akufo-Addo expects to be declared the winner of the 2020 presidential elections.
Already, major media houses in the country have already projected him as the winner.
