New Patriotic Party stalwart, Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has been spotted in a video celebrating Akufo-Addo's electoral victory.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on Instagram, Chairman Wontumi was seen jamming to the popular campaign song of National Democratic Congress's candidate, John Dramani Mahama.
He was dancing in his Kumasi-owned and based Wontumi TV where he is a panelist on the station's morning political show.
Chairman Wontumi was joined on the dancefloor by his fellow on-air panelists as they jubilated following the declaration of President Akufo-Addo as the winner of the 2020 presidential election..
Wontumi and his friends in the studio were all seen dressed in white to signify victory and they could not hold back their joy as they broke into dancing.
While Chairman Wontumi danced, the host of the political show, Oheneba, was heard in cheering him on and showering praise on him.
President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo was declared the winner of the just-ended general election by Electoral Commissioner, Jean Mensa.
The declaration was done at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission with many people including international observers in attendance.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has warned former president John Mahama after the Electoral Commission (EC) declared Akufo-Addo as the winner of the 2020 elections.
On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, the EC chairperson, Jean Mensa announced Akufo-Addo as the winner after defeating Mahama and 10 other presidential aspirants.
Prior to the EC's official announcement, Mahama in his earlier press briefing raised questions regarding votes that were tricking in.
