Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, has been spotted in town for the first time after he was defeated by Maa Lydia Alhassan in the December 7 parliamentary elections in Ghana.

The actor who stood on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress amassed over 37,000 votes but lost by a slim margin of only 2,000 votes to his contender who represented the New Patriotic Party in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official Instagram handle, @factandtruths_official, Dumelo was spotted courageously taking big strides in the local community.

John Dumelo was being teased and mocked at the same time by the gentleman in the background was heard saying the translated "Honourable, you have lost" in Twi.

With great composure, the defeated parliamentary candidate decided not to mind the mockery at all although he was surely hit hard emotionally by it.

Dumelo simply focused on where he was going to the amazement of bystanders who kept stealing glances at him to see what his reaction would be.

Meanwhile, John Peter Amewu, the parliamentary candidate for Hohoe in the Volta Region who won a seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has commenced his works with vigour.

Reports by myjoyonline.com and adomonline.com indicate that Amewu, who is the current Minister of Energy is building a state-of-the-art palace for the local traditional council at Wli.

According to the MP-elect, the facility will serve as a major tourist attraction in the area and help facelift the community in general as it is worth $2 million.
