Charlotte Osei, the former chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, has made a comment on the state of Ghana amid the post-election squabbles currently ongoing in the country.

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on the verified Instagram handle of the past EC boss, she indicated that Ghana is a blessed nation, quoting Psalm 33:12.

Charlotte further added,

"Thank God for Ghana. God rules over Ghana"

This statement warranted thousands of reactions from Ghanaians and generated discussions around the professional role Charlotte Osei played before she was replaced with Jean Mensah.

As YEN.com.gh earlier reported, the Electoral Commission of Ghana took back the results of the presidential polls that was declared on December 9, 2020, after admitting it contained some errors.

A new post sighted by YEN.com.gh on the morning of Thursday, December 10, 2020, on the verified Twitter handle of the commission reveals some corrections were made.

In a statement, the Electoral Commission clearly acknowledged that the Chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensah mistakenly used 13,433,573 as the total valid votes cast, which was not the case.
