Edward Asare, the social media manager of YEN.com.gh, has been awarded as the Digital Media Influencer of the Year 2020 by the Youth Excellence Awards (YEA).
The talented 27-year-old gentleman has risen from the point of being unemployed for two good years after school to becoming a force to reckon with in the Ghanaian social media space.
Edward, who hails from the Dawatrim-Asesewa in the Eastern Region, had his primary education at Dawatrim R/Basic School and then continued JHS at Deyoungsters International School.
From there, Edward went to Accra Academy where he studied business, after which he completed Accra Academy in 2012 and went to read Economics with Information Studies at the University of Ghana, Legon.
It was after his mandatory national service as a young UG graduate that Edward was caught in the sad web of being without a job but refused to give up.
For two years, he had to return to his hometown and venture into farming before fully switching to digital marketing and becoming successful at it.
At the 2020 YEA, Edward was also nominated for Blogger of the Year as well as Digital Marketer of the Year.
The entire YEN fraternity celebrates Edward Asare, not just for his hard work at the number one online news website in Ghana, but also for such an inspirational biography.
In another powerful report by YEN.com.gh, a beautiful lady, Devonna Thompson, had taken her celebration to LinkedIn as she excellently passed her law exams in Illinois.
Devonna said that with the achievement, she became the first lawyer in her family. The lady shared the mail that was sent to her on Tuesday, December 1, to that effect.
According to the examination board, she fulfilled all the requirements that will facilitate her call to bar in Illinois Supreme Court.
